About Adite

Adite Banerjie, a produced screenwriter and author based in New Delhi, has been shaping narratives since 2006. Her debut novel, "The Indian Tycoon’s Marriage Deal," won the Harlequin India Aspiring Authors 2012 Contest, setting the stage for a career as a writer of romance novels. She has written 6 novels. Her 30-minute short script based on a true story, "7 Lives" is now streaming on Amazon Prime in the US. Her crime-drama spec screenplay, "Coaching Class," secured first runner up position at Finish Line Script Competition (2016) and was a semi-finalist at the prestigious Academy Nicholl Fellowships (2017). In 2023, a Mumbai production house optioned her romantic thriller novel, "No Safe Zone" for adaptation into a TV series. She is currently writing a non-fiction TV show about the cultures and cuisines of Indian cities.
