About Kate

I wrote my first screenplay in 2001 two week before the deadline for the Project Greenlight Contest being held by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. After being a finalist in that while still at college I decided to move to Los Angeles once I graduated. I got a job as an assistant to a manager for actors then became an assistant to Jeff Kline at Sony doing work on the Jackie Chan Adventures, Dragontales, That was Then, and Ricochet. I moved on to ABC and the Walt Disney Company working for Don Todd on the show "Samantha Who." During this time I wrote a spec script for Entourage and several more feature screenplays. I turned down a job working at the E! network doing gossip in order to begin a family in Santa Barbara. I have continued many more screenplays since the time I left Los Angeles and will never give up on the belief that one day they will each get made. 2024 Winner of the Stage 32 Action/Thriller Screenplay Contest.
