About Charlie

The only son of Gary Hayes (R.I.P.) and Trish Perry but brother to one and all. Charlie has been a Vagabond and Adventurer his entire 36 years of life on this magnificent planet. Born in Kansas but has lived in 20 cities, 6 states, 1 Territory, 1 island and 2 Countries. He spent the first 25 years of his life in America and the following 10 in Australia. Oz is where he found his Home Heart and was adopted into the Kamilaroi Mob by his Aboriginal brother, Kraka, and given his Aboriginal name, Yunnay Jarjem (Walk-about Child). Charlie has worked with many Charities like Music Outback Foundation and Childhood Cancer Support raising funds and awareness for these righteous causes. "Getting Involved" and being "On the Road' are two motos he lives his life by fully. You'll often hear him say, "You never know until you give it a go".
Charlie's love of music and the arts have been the driving factor behind many of his adventures. From a young age he found himself backstage at concerts more often than in the crowd. "The passion of the musician feeds me as much as the music produced". Given the nickname, "Backstage Hayes" by his childhood mate and closest friend, Martin Castle. He has spent time with such bands and musicians as. Evan Dando of the Lemon Heads, Tanya Donelly of Belly, Lenny Kravitz, Nashville Pussy, Saliva,The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Limp Buscuit, Sasha, Carl Cox, Afrika Bambaataa and Xavier Rudd just to name a few.
