SYNOPSIS:

As they painfully belly edge with AK47s on their backs through the bush of a remote Indonesian island, MURF & ROY stumble upon a shocking mass beheading in progress! Meanwhile, Murf's anthropologist daughter SALLY and her new boyfriend DAVID, both at Sydney University, prepare for a surprise visit to her dad on Bali. They both want adventure, but are totally unaware of exactly what they're heading into. Murf is a tough Aussie Vietnam vet with a funny Irish Catholic side, and together with his bantering yet fearsome Muslim captain Roy they run a beloved sailing ship, the Garuda Laut, out of Bali and throughout the stunningly exotic and mysterious Indonesian archipelago, having great adventures along the way. Much of their cargo is legit, but too often they sail far too close to the dark side. Murf used to think this was all a great lark, but now he’s getting a bit weary of it all and plans one last big job to set up himself and his Indonesian crew for life. Besides, he’s promised Sally he’ll give it all up and retire as soon as possible. He doesn’t yet know how epically difficult that simple dream will be to reach. First, Sally and her new boyfriend David, a boat loving academic, arrive unexpectedly from Australia for some research and a holiday To Roy’s shock and horror, Murf agrees to take David on a “trading” trip. But things go haywire when they are attacked by Thai pirates and David is wounded yet temporarily loses his memory of the incident. Murf, Roy and the crew manage to decimate the Thais, loot their boats and sink them. Among the booty are some Stinger Surface to Air Missiles with a launcher. The Thai boss, Hung is furious. He wants to slaughter them all and drive the Indonesians from the area forever....and take over their turf. To complicate matters, the CIA are very interested in the Stingers, and are hard on the track of Murf and his team, sending agents to eliminate them for selling arms to Indian dealers who are on-selling to Islamic insurgents. After an extremely tense, black humoured rough and tumble with the CIA, Murf strikes a deal with them to trace Al Qaida operatives through the Indian arms dealers to eliminate both in order to save his crew from being shot. However, Murf’s gorgeous girlfriend, a secret Mossad agent plant, beats Murf to the draw and kills the Indians without his knowledge, making it impossible to trace Al Qaida, and leaving Murf in extreme dire straits between the rock of the CIA and the hard place of terrorists and Thai pirates. Hung, to force Murf into a final ‘to the death’ battle, kidnaps Sally and takes her to sea. Murf advises extreme caution. He works out a plan of attack, involving even further adventures in Bali and the no man’s land of “Black Island”, and they finally trap Hung and his men in a shallow bay where a violent sea battle ensues to rescue Sally and settle the turf war. Roy kills Hung in a savage hand to hand fight and Murf is shot in the chest and falls overboard. Many are killed but the turf war is finally settled. Sally and David stay on in Bali and set up a tourist diving venture. But what has happened to Murf……..and where is the CIA?
