I remember always having had clear ideas about the work I wanted to do and the goals I wanted to pursue; however, this memory is in direct contrast with my curriculum vitae; a patchwork of experiences and experiments whose line of reason, if any exists, is pretty twisted.
I have been a high school teacher, a dancer, an editor, a press secretary… currently, I work as a researcher in biophotonics and nanotechnology at the Italian National Research Council.
Truthfully, I fall in love with goals, dreams, and different projects- giving each my fullest commitment and dedication, as if it were the ultimate purpose of my existence. In elementary school I read a book about dance and had no doubt that I wanted to be a dancer, but after watching “Back to the Future” I decided I was also a scientist, and it was after I read “Like the Sea” by Wilbur Smith that I decided to devote myself to environment causes. And so it continues…
My alternating passions may not have allowed me to draw a clear dividing line between eclecticism and incompleteness, but they have introduced me to environments, lifestyles and points of view that have permitted me the exploration of various aspects, often contradictory, of the human soul. Today I share these experiences in the way humanity has always done: through telling stories and creating points of contact between people.
