As an independent Casting Director from Los Angeles, Tamara’s credits include over 55 independent films, 3 Emmy award-winning FBI PSAs, Specials, New Media and over 75 theatrical productions.

Tamara’s theatre casting and directing credits include: Arena Stage, The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.; New York Theatre Workshop, NYU Tisch School of the Arts; The Karamu House and Youngstown Playhouse in Ohio; Dallas Theatre Center, S.T.A.G.E., Theatre Three, The Theatre Garage in Texas; and The Ensemble Theatre in Los Angeles, along with groundbreaking L.A. theatres: The Roby Theatre, Cornerstone Theatre Company, Los Angeles Theatre Center, Teada Theatre Company, Stella Adler Theatre and eta Creative Arts Foundation. Tamara is a member of Lincoln Center Directors Lab, New York City and Director’s Lab West, Los Angeles, CA.

Tamara’s film credits include the award-winning East of Hope Street starring Tim Russ (Star Trek Voyager, Samantha Who, iCarly); Stompin’ starring Sinbad (Jingle All The Way, House Guest, Good Burger), Vanessa Bell Calloway (Shameless, Lakeview Terrace), Shadrack Anderson (Fat Albert), and Lillian Lehman (General Hospital, Men of a Certain Age). She also cast the critically-acclaimed award winning shorts: When a Flame Stands Still (Cannes), Diana Leigh (DGA Jury Award Winner), Pareto and Principle and No Hay Nada Mas (Cannes), En Tiempo De Guerra (a BAFTA Award Winner), and Corre!, Armen, Sounds of Silence, Be Good to Eddie Lee.

Tamara served as professional Casting Director/Consultant for California State University, Northridge (CSUN) Film Option Department, assisting student directors, writers and producers with their senior thesis film projects. The CSUN Senior Film projects are supported through a generous grant from The Hollywood Foreign Press, who nominate and award the prestigious Golden Globes each year. Many of the films cast by Tamara have been accepted in the Annual Senior Showcase featured at the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Foundation and the Academy of Motion Picture Art and Sciences in Los Angeles. For 24 years, this sold-out event has been hosted by Hollywood notables, including actor Louis Gossett, Jr.; actor/producer/director Bill Duke; actor/producer/director Tim Russ; film and music-video director Darren Grant; actor/director/producer/writer Robert Townsend; actress Jenna Elfman; actor/comedian, Sinbad; and playwright/writer/film director Louie Valdez, to name a few.

In December 2011, Tamara expanded her independent casting company, TMS Casting, to serve both the West and Midwest regions in film, television and stage productions. Tamara combined her years of knowledge, exposure and experience in the form of two one day workshops. The Actor Audition Intensive Workshop, focuses on sharpening skills and technique, and enlightening actors/students about what is sought in an audition, and how to present your unique confidence for success-- because a monologue and 16 bars aren’t enough. Good Casting Good Sense Workshop was created for directors, producer and writers and focuses on: The Casting Director's job, why hire a Casting Director, the importance of casting strong skilled talent and how good casting is key to an awesome film production.

Tamara is a guest Casting Director/Lecturer for colleges universities and schools such as: California State University Northridge (CSUN), Loyola University (Chicago) and Columbia College (Chicago) and Neighborhood Playhouse to name a few. Since expanding to Chicago, she has been busy casting projects for film and theatre. Tamara is a member of the Illinois Theatre Association Professional Theatre Division.

The Korean War is coming to its end as both sides become aware of the inevitable divide between the northern and southern territories.
