About Anne

Anne Richardson is an actor, writer and filmmaker in New York City. Anne has worked as an actor in film, tv and commercials for over 15 years, and is a member of Drama Desk & Obie Award Winning Theatre Company The Barrow Group. She is a 2007 LAByrinth Theatre Company Artistic Fellow and a Helen Hayes Award Nominee. As a screenwriter, she's had three films greenlit in the past 3 years. BABY OBSESSION, MURDER IN THE VINEYARD and MY ESCORT BEST FRIEND, all for Lifetime. She has another, DEADLY DOCTOR in development. Anne is a 2018 Sundance Episodic Writer’s Lab semi-finalist. As a director, Anne just completed her first film I’LL HIDE, YOU SEEK (short) under the guidance of legendary producer/AD Michael Hausman (Recount, Amadeus, Brokeback Mountain, et al). She is in pre-production on her first feature, DELIVER ME, a social horror thriller in the spirit of GET OUT. She likes to call it “Gay Misery.” With an insatiable love of storytelling and conviction for social justice, Anne has a passion for inclusive stories that dig deep into human characters while challenging social thought. What drives her creatively is how to make films with artistic depth that also thrill and entertain.
