A struggling British Filmmaker packs his bags and heads to New York to find the actor Ving Rhames and get him to star in his unofficial sequel to E.T.

SYNOPSIS:

Gary is a struggling Filmmaker from Northern Ireland but he has big dreams. His latest short film “Chinchilla Holocaust” landed him in some deep water after a promotional stunt went badly wrong. Gary and his friend Kevin accidentally terrorised an entire high street full of shoppers while they were dressed as Rabid Chinchilla’s and soaked a toddler and mother in fake blood along with a number of pensioners. After spending the night in jail, and missing the premiere of his film Gary decides that Northern Ireland just isn’t ready for him and makes the decision to travel to New York City to find his calling as a Filmmaker and get his pet project “Starring Ving Rhames as E.T.” off the ground. He has received a letter from a small Agency who have shown an interest in the project but are seeking $500 for a readers fee. Gary decides to hand the money over personally to show them how serious he is about the project. But Gary’s bad luck and ill fortune do not leave him at the Airport and follow him on his adventures to New York. Gary’s adventures in New York get off to a colourful start. He is Mugged, terrorised by an out of control Taxi driver, hit on by two She-males and worst of all he keeps getting mistaken for being Scottish! And this is just his first day in his new surroundings. Gary tracks down the small agency, small being the operative word as the whole operation is run by one man who goes by the name of Hershel. Hershel is a slimy funny looking little man who would sell his granny for a few bucks and then try to kidnap her back for a ransom. When Gary turns up at his office Hershel is surprised, he is surprised even more when Gary hands him over the $500 for the readers fee. They both set out to get the film financed but they need Ving Rhames on board. In-between trying to track down Ving, Hershel manages to get them some Extra work on some commercials to tide them over. On the set of a commercial for a new impotence drug Gary meets Jesse a struggling Actress and is smitten. It doesn’t matter to Gary that they are both dressed up a giant Penises’. The team is now complete, Gary, Hershel and Jesse set out to get Ving Rhames to take the lead role in Gary’s film. Ving will play E.T’s dad who comes down to earth to seek revenge on mankind for the damage they did to his son. E.T returned to his home planet a damaged Alien, he won’t even leave his little bedroom anymore and has developed an awful fear of riding bicycles. And as Gary reasons “Riding a bike with your dad is a very important part of father son bonding!” Gary’s luck is getting no better however as his accommodation “Paradise Haven” is not quite what the brochure promised and he has found himself sharing a room with the Hotel’s resident mascot, an angry feet snapping Armadillo who lives under his bed. But never to be deterred Gary always finds the positives and maybe his luck is about to change after all. Jesse has landed a small role in a film and she will be sharing a scene with one Mr Ving Rhames. This is the gangs one chance to make a lasting impression on the actor and get him signed up to the role. This is their one big shot and they will do whatever it takes to land their leading man, and given Gary’s track record this might not be such a good idea. All he wants is Ving Rhames to star as E.T…….
