J. E. Rose, a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, has won top honors in composition at the University of Arkansas Composition Competition and the Foundation Orchestra Association Composition Competition. In 2014, she was honored with two awards at Boston Metro Opera’s International Contempo Festival. Mrs. Rose has had works performed or recorded by various artists and ensembles including the University of Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, the Northwest Arkansas Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Foundation Orchestra, and the Da Capo Chamber Players.
Mrs. Rose is particularly interested in sharing her passion for instrumental music and has been teaching as a band director and music teacher in Oklahoma for the past nine years.
Mrs. Rose holds a Master’s degree in Composition & Technology from the North Carolina School of the Arts. Her teachers have included composers Dr. Michael Rothkopf and Mr. Kenneth Frazelle.
