A heroic starship Captain must fight his own fears and prejudices when he is changed into a woman by an experimental DNA machine in an attempt to kill him, and is driven, by both duty and vengeance, to reinvent HERSELF as a hero in a quest to free her enslaved crew and avenge herself and family while leading a small band against an evil space cartel.

SYNOPSIS:

The heroic Captain Leslie Thames Webber is ambushed and captured by elements of "The Syndicate" an evil space cartel that preys on commerce and passenger shipping . His Crew is sent off to a slave colony and Webber is put into an experimental DNA machine in an effort to gruesomely kill him. Instead it changes him into a woman. Beaten and left for dead , Webber recovers and now must fight her own prejudices and fears and re-invent herself as a hero, as she is driven by a sense of duty and vengeance to free her crew and avenge herself, her friends and family. She gets a ship and five other new companions, with specialized skills to help her find the slave colony and rescue the slaves, then goes on to identify and track down the leader of the syndicate, while evading destroying or bluffing her way past the powerful "Enforcer ships" sent to intercept her. Eventually she encounters and cripples The leader's vessel, boards it and hunts him down on his own ship before finally shooting him. She returns home with her friends to await new adventures.
