Jennifer B. White is an award-winning movie director, screenwriter, Hollywood tagline writer (The Wolfman, Robin Hood, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Little Fockers, Larry Crowne, Fast and Furious, Riddick and more), and novelist (Dead Asleep, Otherwise, The Witch and the Devil’s Son). Her movie, “Mary Loss of Soul” was awarded Best Feature Film at Boston International Film Festival in 2014 as well as Best Director, and was nominated for Best Feature Film at Palm Beach International Film Festival.
Although White is a prolific writer, she’s an extrovert by nature, and fueled by creative collaboration. She enjoys the dynamic speed at which production moves, and the challenges of keeping that engine on track so it meets its destination on time.
As the writer, director and co-producer of “Mary Loss of Soul,” she understands the passion of movie making, and gives professional lectures to indie filmmakers from all backgrounds, and at all stages of filmmaking, on how to bring their project to the big screen quickly, efficiently, and profitably.
From screenwriting to development, pre-production and the challenges that most movies face with tight budgets and production schedules, White knows how to navigate the choppy waters of filmmaking. She’s a highly skilled director, and can work with a skeleton crew on a music video to a large crew on a feature film. She also knows what it takes to talk with editors and a post-production team, how to market a film, and bring it to festivals, and its final destination—sales and distribution.
