James Roberts

After 4 years of studying to acquire a nice shiny 1st class animation degree, James spent the next two years as a happy drone in an industrious beehive (aka a major Soho vfx house), contributing to the Oscar nominated visual effects of films including The Dark Knight, Where The Wild Things Are, Quantum of Solace and Harry Potter & the Something Something.

James finally went rogue in late 2009 and began working as a freelancer, forming thewholebuffalo along with the other suspects on this list. Whether planning a sequence on paper, through digital pre-vis, or directing a challenging live action shoot, he remains focused and enthusiastic. When he's not working (hypothetically speaking) James has a keen interest in music, science, natural history, travel and photography. But even then, he's probably also doing research for a film project.
