Victoria Fraasa's Reel

My first short film that I collaborated on with my husband in 1996. We both wanted to make a change in our fields. I wanted to become a director and he a director of photography. We both have been working in the films industry for over 15 years (he as a gaffer and I in production) that we wrote this "fairy tale" and shot it on our Arri II 16mm film camera. Now we collaborate on projects all the time using our wonderful Canon 7D! What a difference from film to video, but I love it.

A brave woman leaves her home in Guatemala in search of a new life in the United States. Instead of ending up on the streets homeless, she works hard to support herself and her children by selling flowers on the street corner. Circle of Seven Productions contracted Fraasa Films to shoot the elements for New York Times Bestseller, Lisa Jackson's book trailer. Our job was to create a winter forest like scene in Montana in the middle of July in So Cal. With great make up, lighting and acting we were able to pull off the frightening tale of a young girl be kidnapped and Left to Die in the Montana wilderness.
