SYNOPSIS:

In the Eastern Congo's mineral-rich jungles, corporate greed, militant factions, and humanitarian efforts collide in a dangerous dance, as the world's insatiable demand for cobalt fuels technological advancements and human exploitation.

Amidst this volatile landscape, human rights professor Kai Baldwin grapples with grief over the death of his father, vowing to find his killer and never to return to Congo. Happy to move on with her life his ex-fiancée, brilliant epidemiologist Dr. Brooke Ryan, pushes her medical research in high-risk Congolese villages.

Both are unaware that their paths are about to collide with the ambitious schemes of Lucas Goffin, a tech billionaire with a god complex and a plan to reshape global communication with the Congo’s vast cobalt reserves.

The delicate balance is shattered when Goffin charges the ruthless warlord Jean Paul Nkulu to kidnap Brooke during a routine medical mission for his nefarious plans.

Safe in his university classroom, Kai is jolted from his self-imposed exile and races to Congo to find Brooke. Unknowingly, he sets in motion a chain of events that will expose a global conspiracy involving Goffin's revolutionary Eden Phone, a device promising free worldwide communication but harboring a more sinister purpose.

As Kai navigates the treacherous Congolese landscape, he forms an unlikely alliance with Dr. Fabrice Manza, Brooke's adopted brother, and Dante Inferno, a former child soldier seeking redemption. Under the threat of a looming volcano ready to explode over Goma — an urban city of two million people — their journey is fraught with danger as they uncover the true extent of Goffin's operation hidden within a high-tech bunker beneath Gbadolite, an abandoned palace complex.

Held captive in Goffin’s bunker, Brooke is forced to work on a deadly virus for his bioweapon program. Her ethical boundaries are pushed to the limit as she tries to sabotage the project without endangering innocent lives.

The stakes escalate when Xavier Dupont, a conflicted UN commander, reveals his involvement in Brooke's kidnapping. As Dante’s link to Jean Paul Nkulu and the death of Kai’s father is revealed, this forces Kai to confront his external threats but also his own capacity for forgiveness and trust in a race against time to prevent Goffin from launching his global scheme.

After the volcano erupts over Goma, Kai and a team of former militia soldiers infiltrate Goffin's bunker. A desperate struggle ensues in the flooded facility where Kai must overcome his past failures to rescue Brooke and stop Goffin's launch.
