Ernesto Paganoni

I am Ernesto Paganoni and began my career in 1982, as a 'traditional' animator, where I created some key collaborations which included advertising , videoclip and animation in the GAUMONT production of "ASTERIX and the BRITANNI".

Since then I have been at the forefront of the "digital revolution" and I have keenly innovated and experimented with various synergies, between traditional animation and new technologies, and developed original animation projects. In 1992, I established the Locomotion 'srl' that not only proved itself on the market, but also created special effects for the advertising sector and medium of television. In fact with this Paganoni created 'ZZZOE', a television series for children using a mixed technique of 2D and 3D. It
was heavily promoted by the European Community. This also led to a partnership with INTERACTIVE that involved the Locomotion, Paganoni, and the DE LAURENTIIS GROUP.

In July 1998 I went freelance again and worked for the Bergamo studio. Here I worked on the animated feature film: "GABBIANELLA, E IL GATTO CHE LE INSEGNO' A VOLARE" and also on the special effects for the film, "COSI' E' LA VITA" of Aldo Giovanni and Giacomo.

In 1999 and 2000 I directed two animation series projects. One was "ARRIVA LA PIMPA" for RAI and here for the first time the popular character of ALTAN becomes animated with the use of the Motion Capture and technologies 3D. While, in the other film, "PK" for the DISNEY CHANNEL, which a Disney comic strip for the protagonist PAPERINIK.

From 2001 I am head animator in the structure 3D of CHINATOWN (Fiat Granchi, Polase, Shell) and here creates the animation of 3D of feature film, "TOTO' SAPORE" for "Medusa film".

In 2004, I began working freelance on some of my own 3D and 2D animation, and one that is worth a mention is the television transposition of the strips of STURMTRUPPEN of BONVI.

I have created different Video film for high-profile artists such as Marco Masini, Gatto Panceri and Vasco Rossi. In 2011, I was the animator-director for the feature film "DRACULA 3D" for Dario Argento and animator for the american feature films "THE PHILOSOPERS" and "REKILL"

I currently teach 3D animation at the EUROPEAN INSTITUTE OF DESIGN of MILAN.
