About William

WILLIAM WASHINGTON

William Washington has worked in the motion picture business for 29 years with a resume of Feature Film, Television Shows, Commercial and Music Video credits that he has participated in numbering well over 400 and counting. His career started off as him be asked to participate as a stuntman in the feature film Marked for Death starring Steven Segal in 1989.

After dedicating his life and becoming one of Hollywood’s most extreme stuntmen for about 4 years, William was then sought out by Pat Kehoe who asked Phil Rawlins vice president of Warner Brothers, and one the greatest Stunt coordinators at the time Mr. Terry Leonard, who they felt was the new and most upcoming stuntman was in the business, they both referred William Washington who was then given the opportunity to Coordinate the stunts for the Multi award winning Feature Film “What’s Love Got To Do With It” Directed By Brian Gibson, Starring Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne and Casted by Reuben Cannon.

William at that point took the opportunity to become a student of the platform of Hollywood film making by studying all of duties of every department of What’s Love Got To Do With It, based on production meetings for that film and all others there after totaling well over 100, ranging from Feature Films, Television shows, Music Videos and Commercials also allowing him to learn from Great Film Makers like, Spike Lee, Tim Story, Stan Lathan Dianne Houston, Kevin Hooks, Bill Condon and many more.

Early on in William’s career he realized that he had more to offer audiences, so he began nurturing one of his other passions which was Screen Writing in which he has several completed screenplays of which are being considered by major investment companies for financing.

His passion for film making and staying vested in it gave him the opportunity to Direct and Produce his first feature film in 2008 Title House Arrest, Starring Stacy Dash and The Game. The production based on its low budget level of financing came with a long list of problems the reflected on every department within the production.

Williams compassion for the platform of film making and staying vested in it allowed him to take his first Directorial and Producing opportunity through to its completion from pre-production to a getting a distribution deal through Grindstone Entertainment Group. The film was released January 1, 2012.

Years of creating, writing, and directing have made him a veteran of his time.

A personal Quote often said by William Washington

Perfect practice makes perfect vs. Practice makes perfect. I believe a person should invest in himself or herself as a tool, leaving nothing to chance. For your achievements will propel you to your goal of excellence
