Multiple award winning director Natalie MacMahon knows what science fiction does best: it projects society forwards in time, so we can look back to view ourselves more clearly." (by "Short Film Reviews") "The Funeral Dancer" is a thought-provoking film about mediatized cultures in which everything is a social media event that needs to be shared virtually to gain social capital. By depicting a high-concept futuristic scenario with colorful tones and manipulated reality, the director comments the undercurrents of all-encompassing contemporary social media consumption with wit and style. • A Universal Love Story

    A Universal Love Story (2017)
Film (Drama and Sci-Fi) Writer/Director A Universal Love Story” is a sci-fi drama in Esperanto about the possibility of finding love in an impersonal world in the distant future, where everyone is so focused on himself, that it seems almost impossible to connect to another person. All that’s left is the memory of love and the hope to experience it one more time. It seems that sometimes it takes a miracle from a different universe to start a revolution. This is the story about the difficulty of making a human connection. The film is available with German, Spanish, Italian and French subtitles. https://www.universallovestory.com/ https://www.facebook.com/universallovestory Interview about the film: http://www.wearemovingstories.com/we-are-moving-stories-videos/2017/9/11/a-universal-love-story Review of the film- "Largo Film Awards": Many things in human relationships seem strange and alien. Alien is a keyword here, explored by Natalie MacMahon in a very inspired and creative way. There is nothing more strange than finding love where it wasn’t before or seeing it fade and disappear knowing how deep it was in the beginning. From complete happiness to utter despair, "A Universal Love Story" reflects on the way these situations develop in a fictional setting still being developed: the future and its aesthetics, here seen in a very positive light. "A Universal Love Story" is different, is alive and is filled with hope. Romance can develop anywhere, and the beautiful future developed in the mind of MacMahon seems to be bright, social and positive, three things we should work hard to achieve by then.
