SYNOPSIS:

TISIPHONE By: Louella M Reynolds In modern-day New Orleans, Tisiphone, 25 and a dark-haired beauty, is in the midst of a snake-ritual prayer meeting when she is summoned by her father, the Devil. The Devil summons demons; a bull-nosed pit viper, a dragon, and a giant octopus. Tisiphone is unleashed on New Orleans to bring destruction upon mankind, and to pull in the other demons. A model shoot is set up in St. Louis Cemetery for Voodoo Perfume, and the model does not show. Tisiphone appears in a body-tight red leather suit. Catherine Peters, 50s, model agency owner and Tom McKenney, 30s, photographer, welcome the beauty and mystery that surrounds Tisiphone. Tom and Catherine believe it is magical that Tisiphone’s eyes turn red and her hair morphs into snakes as Tom takes the pictures. An old voodoo woman warns them of her evilness. Voodoo Perfume is impressed by the first pictures and Tisiphone is asked to make a series for the new perfume campaign. In each picture, Tisiphone wears a costume that resembles the demon that she pulls into each photo. At Louis Armstrong Park, a bull-nose pit viper appears in the tree behind her. At the Voodoo Spiritual Temples, a dragon flies behind her. At the swamp waters of the bayou, a giant octopus wraps around a swamp tree behind her. While taking these pictures, Tom sees the demon images through the camera, and is spooked more each time and believes what the old voodoo woman is saying. When the pictures are developed, the demons show up in each and Catherine is happily overwhelmed and presents them to the client who agrees to a reveal party at The Roosevelt to unveil the new Voodoo Perfume girl. Tom goes home for a short vacation and confides his concerns in his church’s Bishop. The old voodoo woman appears at the reveal and warns Tom of the impending evil. Women emulate the dress of Tisiphone and men fight over her. Billboards, with each picture, are placed strategically near the area where each picture was taken and the demons use the billboards as their base; returning after each attack. The Devil tells Tisiphone that Tom must be eliminated. Tom is captured by Tisiphone to keep him from interfering with further attacks. She ties him up with snakes. The National Guard fights the snake, the Air Force fights the dragon, and the Coast Guard fights the octopus; with each encounter ending with the demon disappearing. Since the demons are images, they cannot be destroyed by weapons. The Bishop comes to New Orleans, he finds Tom and sets him free. The two enlist the help of the old voodoo woman to stop the destruction. The voodoo woman says they need mirrors to trap the demons and eliminate them by smashing the mirror. It takes some convincing, but the Captain in charge finally agrees to help the trio. They go, with the help of the National Guard, to St. Charles Parish Library Planetarium to get mirrors. They are only able to secure three mirrors. Using the mirrors, they are able to pull each demon in as it returns to its base; once captured, the mirrors with the dragon and octopus are smashed. The mirror with the snake is left in tact to draw in Tisiphone. But, she is too smart, smashes the mirror herself, and escapes to return another day.
