About Bozkurt
Began his film career as an intern at Carl Sagan's NOVA Science Series at WGBH, Boston, Massachusetts.
Shot over 120 TV commercials, several shorts, documentaries, mini web series and 3 hybrid features.
Won "The winner of Excellence Award" at IFFSRV/Jakarta - Indonesia, 2013 with his 2nd docu narrative feature “The Grenadines Road”. Was screened at Cineteca Uruguaya’s Winter Film Festival, 2014.
His last docu narrative feature “When the Ants Dreams" was premiered at MICA Film Festival in Manaus, Brazil, 2015.
His debut docu narrative feature "Cankurtaran / Istanbul" ( "Lifeguard / Istanbul") was premiered in Istanbul Film Festival in 2009. Finalist at the Golden Egg Competition of Reykjavik International Film Festival’s Transatlantic Film Lab, Iceland, 2010.
Winner of two Emma Awards for "Best Director", with his debut short, “The Blind Date", 1990, Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
His debut feature film script "Love in Seven Letters" was among the top 10 finalists in Drama category in Pitch Now Screenplay Competition and was invited to take part at a networking event during Sundance Film Festival, 2019 and also,
was finalist in the Global Script Challenge at Oaxaca Film Festival, Mexico, 2016 and,
semifinalist at the Austin Revolution Film Festival's Screenwriting competition and is top listed winner of the Pitch Competition of the same festival, September, 2018.
Born in Istanbul. Currently lives in Mexico. Finished the Austrian Sankt Georg High School in Istanbul.
Has a Master’s degree in Broadcasting and Film from Boston University’s College of Communication.

Love in Seven Letters Budget: $1M - $5M | Drama An environmentalist, Salvador, abandoned son of a masked ex-champion of freestyle wrestling, and a cult B-movie star, finds his father, René, during an ocean cleaning mission on an island covered with plastic waste. While trying to gain an identity with the volunteer work cleaning plastics, René lives an incognito life behind a plastic wrestler’s mask.
