BOY: CRAZY
By Joseph Andrew Killeen

GENRE: Drama, Thriller
LOGLINE:

In 1960's New England, god-fearing parents send their gay son to a mental institution where his "devious" behavior is only enhanced to dangerous heights.

SYNOPSIS:

It's the summer of 1969 in New England and as young Al is discovering his own sexuality, his conservative mother and father discover it as well. He doesn't stand a chance against their deeply held beliefs, so when he confirms to his parents that he is gay, they send him away.

At the Letchworth psychiatric facility, Al is told that after his treatment, he will come out on the other side a "normal" young man, attracted to females. Little do the doctors or his parents realize though, that they have surrounded Al with other like minded young men.

In an ironic bid to keep their son from going down a dangerous path, Al's parents inadvertently set him on the most dangerous path possible, one fueled by self-doubt and hatred and the rebellious influence of the other boys like him in Letchworth.

Breaking out in a wild escape, the boys intend to show everyone just how crazy they can be...
