GAY MEANS HAPPY

GAY MEANS HAPPY
By Joseph Andrew Killeen

GENRE: Comedy, Drama
LOGLINE:

Two gay married men adopt a teen and are thrown back into the dating life they tried leaving behind when their son confesses he may be gay as well and needs help finding Mr. Right!

SYNOPSIS:

A happy gay couple, John and Ricardo, live a picturesque life in the suburbs; a modest home with the white picket fence and a golden retriever- the nightmare life for their city dwelling friends. While their friends continue to try and define happiness like they did in their 20's with casual sex and hard drugs, John and Ricardo simply want to be together and build a family together.

Both men agree to adopt an older child, one that so many people wouldn't even consider. They find Cody- a twelve year old boy that is open to having two dads. After John and Ricardo cautiously talk to Cody about who they are and the hate that they will potentially receive, Cody confides in them that he himself may be gay as well.

Struggling to walk the seeming fine line between nature and nurture, the fathers eventually realize there is nothing wrong with encouraging their son to be who he is; perhaps giving Cody the life growing up gay that they both would have appreciated.

As Cody matures and wants a relationship, his doting fathers try many options in setting their son up, but eventually re-enter the nightlife to help their son navigate the dating scene they happily left behind years ago.
