About Noreen

I'm an actress working on stage and in film, television, commercial, and voiceover. I normally play soft-spoken, reserved, bubbly, sassy, quirky, and resilient characters in both drama and comedy. As an activist, I particularly enjoy working on projects that contain strong social messages.

I received my BA in Theatre at Southern Connecticut State University and studied acting at the Circle in the Square Theatre and improv at the Magnet Theater. I'm trained in Stanislavski, Meisner, and Chekhov.

I'm also a screenwriter and filmmaker. I create stories that feature underrepresented characters, include social themes such as feminism, break common stereotypes, show diverse points of view, and introduce audiences to new concepts and ideas that are not typically seen in film and media. My ultimate goal is to increase diversity, representation, and equity in film and to inspire people to make changes for a more compassionate and tolerant world, consider different perspectives, ask questions, and embrace themselves for who they are.

My writing is also dramatic but balanced with light-heartedness. The stories that I create explore characters who are figuring themselves out and discovering new situations that help them grow. I like inviting audiences to join characters on their journeys while also experiencing humor and joy. I studied screenwriting and filmmaking at The New School. I have also written scripts for corporate videos.

During my spare time, I love reading, dancing, traveling, and volunteering. I also love animals and am a vegetarian. My favorite food is chocolate.
