Shay McCray

Shawana “Shay” McCray is an avid believer that we predict our own life. Born in Brooklyn, New York and later relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, Shay always knew she wanted to pursue a career in acting. As a high school student, Shay wrote plays for her high school talent shows. Her craft landed her scripts in first place twice. McCray says that the two people who are the biggest influences in her life are her father and uncle.
Shay’s first role was the lead role of Leey Taylor in the web series, T.R.A.D.E IT ALL and shortly after, was featured in the new film, “Thirsty.” McCray gradually began breaking her way into the industry. She has built strong relationships by way of industry experience, which cultivated a platform for her to work with Kerry Washington’s acting coach Marishka Phillips.
Acting is not the only trade Shay has mastered. She has been on many runways, including America's Next Top Urban Model Fashion Show, Pinnacle Mansion Fashion Show, Dutch Design Fashion, and many more. McCray has hosted various influential events such as Ricky “Trendy" DaVista’s Annual Fashion Gala, Fashionable Life, Fashion Showcase, Pinnacle Mansion Fashion Show, and Strut Your Vote; a fashion show that has benefited Sickle Cell Anemia and has increased awareness on the importance of being registered to vote. In addition to acting, modeling and hosting, McCray is the Co-Founder of modeling agency, Millionaire Models Inc.
Accomplishing one of many life goals, Shay also Co-Founded, Millionaire Models Inc Youth; a non-profit organization based in Atlanta for teenage girls providing an environment where they can learn the true strides of a female, follow their dreams, and ultimately become leaders to encourage others.
Shay McCray is creating her path, and navigating her way to the top. She is destined to be a lightning force in this industry. Her positive energy, exceptional dedication, and swift transition from role to role confirm that the big screen is waiting for Shay McCray. In her free time, Shay enjoys reading, fine dining and shopping. She has plans to move to Los Angeles, California in hopes of molding her craft and landing a lead role beside her idol, Taraji P. Henson.
