Artist's Statement

Film is the perfect mix of business and art. You see, by nature, I am a day dreamer. My mind is frequently preoccupied with the question, "What if?". As I go about my day to day activities I am fascinated by the people, places and things around me. I wonder, "What if that bearded homeless man is really of royal descent?" "What if humans evolved with gills?" "What if there was a man that existed outside of time?" "What if there was a budding romance at Union Station between one of the business men from overseas and a hipster girl listening to her iPod? It is my belief that everyone in this world has a story to tell. Having an analytical side, I deeply enjoy producing. I see much of film as being not unlike a jigsaw puzzle sprawled out on the floor. I have all the pieces, I just have to put them together into something viable. I also feel that I have a responsibility to my audience. I must create works that are both thought provoking and inspirational. I wish to push the envelop of what can be done with limited budget. My work will step away from the stale formulas that are so widely used in Hollywood. My films are unpredictable, character driven and make use of limited or confined settings to convey a story. These productions encompass a variety of genres and often incorporate stylized 3D effects that only serve to further enhance an already dynamic story.
