Scoring such short films as Steven Branfman - Raku Master(2013) and Bentley Hockey - Frozen Fenway(2014) only to name a few. These projects soon led him to working with Boston College's own Steven Panico and his team on Hyundai's Lens of Loyalty film competition, the video has seen nationwide exposure and finished second overall. Derek is a multi-instrumentalist playing; guitar, piano, french horn, cello and percussion. His creative and intuitive drive leads to experimentation in creating new sounds and effects, creating a distinct sound all his own.
