Jon Keevy

Jon Keevy is a writer and designer, but foremost he is a geek. His plays are about dinosaurs and philosophy and fables and his sketch books are filled with flying machines and designs for better lighting rigs. Although he does have a Masters in Theatremaking from UCT, he claims his real education came from working at festivals with touring productions, his employers being award-winning theatre creators such as Chris Weare, Peter Krummeck, Mike van Graan, Alan Committie, Geoff Hyland and Lara Bye. Along with Bosnian-born director Sanjin Muftic, he runs Yawazzi Theatre Productions where they create unique multimedia designs for stage. He is a regular feature of Theatresports: Cape Town where he makes up spectacular and unbelievable truths.
