Hi, I've been a hair designer for years, I'm currently at ASU studying film and media. I'm sure I'll end up in LA at some point :)
It's either NYC or LA! Love it here.
I wish you were here in Denver, I need a good cut!!

When and who decides on what is a cliché? Can it be a cliché if you heard it or saw it for the first time?
Welcome to the Inner Sanctum, that's almost as good as being an SNL 5 Timer!!

Expand commentClichés can be your friend if you use them right. Example: In a science fiction film, blowing up iconic monuments is pretty cliché. Find something else to blow up. At least that is what they did in the remake of WAR OF THE WORLD. Perhaps you may choose not to blow up anything at all. One thing I like to do in my comedies is to set up an overused cliché, and then do just the opposite or at least go off in an unexpected direction. The most important thing concerning clichés is to be aware of them.
What do we do when EVERYTHING is cliché?
New full feature screenplay in the works.

I know it's probably cliche, but I'd have to say Spielberg. The guy has been my top film and storytelling influence literally since I was a kid.
Shonda Rhimes. I watched her masterclass which was awesome. Her talent for character development is great. She knows how to get her audience to love her characters.
