Munk, the society leader, places couple Chain and Fric on trial for growing a yellow gerbera daisy, which required them to use water for no practical purpose. A tenet of the society also states that beauty, such as in a flower, distracts from the tasks associated with the basic goal of survival. If convicted, they will be severely sentenced apropos to the specifics of the crime itself.
