About Brendan

I am an actor who wants to be a better actor. I started in my late teens, then walked away because, as I can only see in hind site, I lacked the emotional maturity and humility required to apply the craft. But I could never let it go. A few years ago, having learned that I wanted to be more than just a specific look with a small skill set, I decided to pursue it again. Put simply, I needed to learn how to be a real person, as apposed to giving names to all of my demons and calling it acting. I act for the love of the game. If I have no audience but myself, or if I have the whole world’s attention, I will act. I work a day job that allows me flexibility in selecting the projects I dedicate myself to. I don't go into anything with half of my heart. Anyone who believes in me enough to want to use me in their project deserves nothing less than 100% of my heart, mind and commitment. On set, I draw most of my inspiration from people working behind the camera. I admire their patience and dedication. Truth be told, I wish I could do what they do … with how hard they work, I know I owe them everything I can give. There are no small parts, only big opportunities in small sizes.

Unique traits: -Play baseball at semi-pro level. (Catcher, Outfield, Infield, Pitcher.) -Musician, Guitar (intermediate) Druns, (Beginner/Intermediate) Piano, (Beginner) -Various training in assorted stunts including stage & film combat, collision & tumble. -Supervised & Trained Experience with firearms. -Comfortable with any level of expressionist intensity. "Brendan's neutral face, is intense yet he can dial it down to show a gentleness or vulnerability between takes." -Can absorb and embody anything (I do my research and preparation. -Am a paralegal by trade and a writer when asked or inspired to be. *Most importantly: I do "me" better than anybody else. I consider it my job to allow others to do the same. (So we can all bring our best. I will do whatever it takes to give other actors as much as they need to deliver. )
