Jamie is a composer, lyricist, and playwright working in film, television, and theater. He writes music and lyrics for commercial advertising campaigns. His clients include McDonald's, Stella Artois, Kyocera, Coca Cola, Audi, Absolut, and the State of California. He has worked with major jingle and advertising houses including Human Worldwide, Future Perfect, Seiter + Miller, The Elements Music and others. He is a currently a member of the BMI Film Scoring Mentorship Program "Composing for the Screen." He has scored several short films including "Lately There Have Been Many Misunderstandings in the Zimmerman Home" by director Derek Cianfrance (Blue Valentine, Place Beyond the Pines). He recently contributed film cues to the climate change documentary "Comfort Zone." He holds an MFA from Tisch's Gradual Musical Theater Writing Department and is currently a member of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theater Writers Group. His songs have been performed at The Laurie Beechman Theater, The New York Theater Barn, The Museo Del Barrio, and others. He is the musical director for the Saturday program of The Possibility Project, a New York City-based non-profit that creates full-length musicals with at-risk New York City teenagers. He also writes comedy songs for the popular website Awkward Family Photos.
