Bitten early by the theater bug, I lived for theater from the age of 13 through 24, doing school and community theatre, earning a Bachelor's in Acting/Directing, learning the basics of set building, lighting design/hang/focus, costume design and production, and studying with the Royal Shakespeare Company for 10 weeks. After college, however, real life intervened and I put theater on a back burner as I paid bills, eventually developing a 20-year career in marketing and PR, for commercial products as well as performing arts. In 2012, with the support of my awesome husband, I left the 9-to-5 and began the life of the self-employed, doing theater, teaching yoga, and taking on the occasional marketing consultant job.
