Hi there! I was born and raised in the Dallas Fort Worth Worth area. I've been designing and sewing costumes since I was about 17 years old. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor of science in Apparel Design and Manufacturing. I've worked in apparel manufacturing since 2012 as a product developer. My duties consist of pattern making, taking specifications from existing samples, taking measurements, grading, marking, tailoring, and supervising sample making. My passion is pattern making but I also love researching and designing historical costume. I am very particular about keeping true to historic details but also enjoy challenging myself to think out of the box. Something that I really enjoy doing is making a costume for a character based on their circumstances. A costume doesn't really make sense if it looks out of place with it surroundings or doesn't fit into a character's personality. I would love to learn more about dressing actors and managing a wardrobe department of a theater, TV or movie production. I've only done a little acting in High School but never pursued it because of scheduling reasons but I've always been told acting is a natural trait of mine. I would prefer to stay in the background because I'm just so shy! But I can act if it was asked of me.
