Since hitting his first keys on the piano at the age of four in his native Barranquilla, Colombia, Camilo Rodríguez has been pursuing a relentless quest to expand his musical knowledge. His never-ending mission has led him to receive a B.A. from Berklee College of Music, and a Master’s of Music from the University of Miami.
Camilo’s 10-year career in the music industry has earned him many accolades; he won the finalist award–twice–at the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and the International Songwriting Competition as a songwriter, and won “Best Score” at the Long Island Film Festival for his musical score on Elaine Del Valle’s Final Decision. His music has also featured in several major TV Series, including Vanderpump Rules, Real Housewives of Orange County, and Mariposa la del Barrio. He has performed with Yotuel Romero across Latin America as a guitarist, and has worked as a recording engineer for Latin star Christian Castro.
Camilo is currently a faculty professor at the Frost School of Music, where he teaches music production and audio mixing at the master’s level, and records the Henry Mancini Orchestra for university-related releases. He is also co-owner of BASH Music+Sound, a company dedicated to producing highest-quality music and audio for film and TV. BASH has collaborated with filmmakers in the local scene, scoring and mixing a variety of shorts and commercials.
In addition, he works as a music producer and mixer with numerous local Miami acts, including Alejandra Jiménez, who has collectively received over 1 million streams on Spotify.
