I'm writing a screenplay called BUNKER AND BLACK, particularly relevant at this time in our society.
I think this site could help me get some eyes on my work and hopefully an agent, a producer or financier.

BUNKER AND BLACK:

50ish white and black buddies run Nursing Home seething with volatile racial hostility between aged residents, young staff and the community

LOGLINE:
Middle aged life-long buddies, one Negro one White, without family buy and operate a Nursing Home to secure old-age comfort but must resolve its volatile racial hostilities between elderly residents, young staff and the community before creating a stable secure future.

PREMISE:
Present-day suspense, dialogue-driven drama with retro music,
BUNKER and BLACK are Negro and Caucasian 55 yr old life-long buddies without family facing a very lonely old-age.
The Nursing Homes they encounter offer shoddy buildings with poor maintenance and run-down facilities. And even the newest ones would still put them among strangers when the time came, so they decide to buy a Nursing Home and grow into it.
But costs force them to manage it themselves and from the first day they take ownership they have a work-place seething with volatile racial hostility between elderly residents, young staff and the community culminating in near-death disaster before a resolution creates a stable future.
THEO BUNKER is the Negro antithesis to Archie Bunker of All In The Family; quiet, polite, well-educated successful Real Estate Investor, uses reasoning and strong opinions to diffuse tense situations.
RON BLACK is Caucasian opposite to Theo; free-spirit hippy, well-educated successful investment partner to Theo, music and movie-buff, uses humour in tense situations, says things like “I’m Black.”
