Marcel Victor Prefontaine

I am available for Conceptualization, Production Design, Art Direction and/or Set Decoration.

My background and training are in architecture and scenic design/production design for theatre & film. I worked as an architectural designer for over ten years prior to re-orienting my design career and obtaining a MFA degree in scenic design from the California Institute of the Arts in May of 2000.

Since then I have been applying my knowledge, skills and imagination to production design and art direction for film, television, video and commercials, and have had the opportunity of working on a large number of projects as Production Designer, Art Director or Set Decorator, as well as other positions within your typical Art Department.

My 20-plus years of involvement in design have made my work experience varied in nature (film, television, video, architecture, graphic design, photography, costumes and theatre) and scope, encompassing design duties, supervision and leadership roles as well as administrative functions.
