Although originally born in Toronto, Joseph Micheal currently maintains a home in both Toronto and Brights Grove Ontario, Canada, located near the U.S. border; he does so in order to accomodate his acting career and his many requests to perform live music. He has enjoyed a loyal musical following in both Canada and the U.S. for in excess of 25 years.
This talented Vocalist, Guitarist and extremely prolific Songwriter is well known for both his humorous and sensitive original material, as well as for his almost preternatural ability to perform multiple musical styles with ease. His musical offerings include Rock, Pop, Folk, Jazz, Blues and even Opera! A very youthful JMT first joined the American Federation of Musician's Union in 1965 (now C.F. of M.) and has never lost the joy of playing and performing.
Joe has appeared in numerous Feature Films, as well as, popular Television Series, Commercials, Print and Live Stage Productions. He is well known in Asia for his portrayal of Jack London's "Leon Guggenhammer" in the film "Burning Daylight". Be sure to look for him in the role of "Veteran Actor" in Martin Gero's "THE L. A. COMPLEX."
Although the film industry keeps him pretty busy, he is an avid outdoorsman: when not filming he is both a Professional Ski Instructor and Certified Canoeist. His other hobbies include sailing, swimming, fishing, hiking and cycling. He is an amateur artist and attends a literary club; his tastes run to the classics but he also enjoys educational, biographical and historical works. Prior to becoming a full-time Actor Joseph Micheal earned a living as an Accountant, Entrepreneur and Computer Specialist. He has attended several Canadian Universities and is well travelled. He brings to the Stage and Screen a well-rounded life experience.
