About Cam

Well My name is Cameron but everyone calls me Cam (hence my stage name for my solo Act, Cam White). Not very original I know but it flows better off the tongue I think!

So I guess a bit about me, I was raised in various towns/cities in Alberta as a child and ended up (at least for high school) I'm Grande Prairie. Captain of a few sports teams, honor student, and I was 2 time top actor at zones/provincials and for my high school as well my Junior and senior years.

Universoty I was in the states and attended a few different schools. Acted at Jamestown ND and was the first freshman in 10 years to get a lead role (which I did twice that year for 'Secret Garden' and 'Noises Off). Left there and took a year off where I saved and was lucky enough to get a bronze at the Junior AAA Canadian Nationals in Trois Rivière Quebec (which I was also MVP for the finals). After that I attended Cerro Coso College in Ridgecrest CA where I was an all conference catcher and I acted in my first semi-professional role for CLOTA and their production of 'Spitfire Grill' where I played the Sherriff.
After that I attended the Friends Fine arts University in Wochita Kansas where I received athletic, academic, vocal and theatre scholarships. Was the master carpenter there for 3 years making all of the sets under the guidance of Dr Charles Parker. Also acted in over 15 shows, directed 2, and was named 'top Actor' by the University all 3 years I attended.

After receiving my BA in English and writing I moved back to my home town in Grande Prairie. For 3 years I worked for Ovations Theatre as an actor, director, stage manager, tech, set designer, set builder, lighting design, season selection and eventually became the Artistic director. In that time I acted in 14 shows (including one professional, played the Engineer in Broadway Live Broadway's show of 'Miss Saigon), directed 7 shows, and also managed to get my guitar and songwriter skills up to where I was the only professional solo artist in Grande Prairie. I have amassed over 80 songs and am currently studying music/songwriting At GPRC in my home town. I started my entertainment company (Cam White Entertainment) just over a year and a half ago and have been a full time artist for just over a year. Currently I act for film as a viking (Arnie the Viking YOUTUBE HIM!) as well as do some live entertainment events for them. I developed te character and wrote all his songs. My other job, as previously mentioned, is performing as a solo artist around Western Canada (). Heavy into writing, I finished my first full length musical last year called 'Country Allstars' as well as wrote two one act plays (one of which won top play-write/pla at the colleges one act festival). I have a pilot written for a sitcom I am writing called 'Rusty's Nutz' and I'm working on a one act musical right now called '3rd street'.

I love to write, basically anything but I find myself writing a lot of songs. I is my passion singing/songwriting and am going to Bashville for a week in July to get some of my songs signed to a production company and maybe myself as a studio writer.

I love my life and am trying to make sure that I am a full time artist for the rest of it so any help is appreciated :)
