I write film scripts and novels set in Oregon's remote high desert where I spent 20 years developing renewable energy projects. The best of the Old West collides with the New West everyday. Ranchers, militiamen, Native Americans and environmentalists make for rich characters and complex conflicts in a part of the world few people have seen.
My latest project is a short film/teaser for a feature script - TOWN GIRL - about Emma, a homeless Portland teenager who ventures to the desert with her oxy-addicted mom for drug counseling with a Native American social worker. When mom relapses, they find refuge on a remote ranch where Tyler is battling to save his family's ranch after his militiaman dad is arrested. With the help of the Native American counsellor, they come from very different places to find a home.
Unique traits: Business development and project finance for large scale wind farms. Created an early web based music portal. Competent horse man.
Tow Girl Budget: $0 - $100K | Drama "When you've never had a home, you never know where you'll find one."16 year-old Emma and her just-paroled mom are en route to a Native American drug addiction treatment center in Oregon’s remote high desert when they encounter a young rancher feeding his cows.
