Mathilde was raised in a multicultural environment, surrounded by her Russian grandfather, German grandmother, and Belgian parents. While growing up in Liège, a tiny city in Belgium, she took dancing classes for over a decade, trained in improvisation, and performed in many plays throughout the years, coached by professional comedians. That’s when she developed her love for acting. She made her way to New York City a few years ago, in order to pursue her dream of establishing a serious career as an actress. She started her journey by mastering English at Kaplan International Colleges. Once fluent, she studied Meisner at The Acting Studio with James Price, and completed a "One Year Acting for Film Conservatory" at The New York Film Academy. Finally, she completed a "Two Year Acting Conservatory" at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. In 2013, Mathilde felt that she needed to expand her range, when it came to her craft. Her next goal became to get a deeper involvement with her work. She wrote Snow White & The Beast, winner of the annual Strasberg Works writing contest (2014), which was tapped for production in July 2014, picked by Margarett Ladd (Falcon Crest; I am Dancing as Fast as I can; Mozart in the Jungle) who became her writing advisor, and directed by Renoly Santiago (Hackers; Con Air; Daylight). She wrote/produced/acted in Rhythm in Me, a short film that is based on that very play, directed by Niav Conty (Un peu plus d'éternité; Residuum, Outworld). The film was selected at Cannes Short Film Corner 2015 and is currently submitted to other major festivals.
