THE WRONG BUS
By Mark-Curtis Dunn

GENRE: Sci-fi
LOGLINE: A middle-aged spinster with something to hide boards a city bus expecting her intended destination. That all changes when she reveals her true self.

SYNOPSIS:

KATHERINE, dowdy spinster, arrives at a bus stop clutching a large hand bag. Also waiting for the bus are CONSTANCE and HAROLD among other Passengers. The bus arrives, driven by DEIDRE, with a destination showing of Venice. Katherine boards with the others amid the push and shove. As she settles in, it becomes clear to her that the bus isn't following the usual route. She confronts Deidre who rudely tells her that she is bound for West Hills instead of Venice. Katherine returns to her seat, but not before she sees a strange being at the back of the bus. She can find no sympathy among the passengers for Deidre's rudeness or her being on the wrong bus. When she attempts to call customer service on her cell phone, large wads of cash spill from her bag. Harold and Constance challenge her assertion that it's her money. She finally caves and confides that she stole the money, justifying her experience with her frustrated life. It is then that Harold reveals himself and the Passengers as Captain and Crew of an alien ship, with Katherine as their abducted specimen.
