If I was asked what single virtue I hold most vital to the completion of an original soundtrack I would respond, unconditionally, “communication”. I believe that, regardless of genre, format, or size of production, a great film score is one that works within the artistic aspirations of the film. Weither it achieves it’s success through emotionally guiding the viewer through a scene, or through a surprising juxtaposition of music and visual revealing greater depth than is initially apparent, both stem from the ability of the director and composer to get on the same page. Thus, clear and honest communication is vital in creating a total that is greater than the sum of its parts. Over the course of my career I have strived to educate myself in the language of film as well as music, crafting cues that derive there dramatic energy from the plots, characters, and actions they are a part of. As a your film composer I would work closely with you to explore musical and dramatic options open to us, so we can find a music that highlights your artistic vision.
In addition to fostering a relationship based on open and honest communication, I also pride myself on my extensive knowledge of production and recording techniques. I have a vast collection of top tier sample libraries, meaning, if I am chosen as your composer, no musical style or instrument is out of your reach. I also have extensive knowledge of Synthizers and sound manipulation, both digital and analogue, if seek a more modern sound driven approach for your film. A style much in demanded latly, and best characterized by the work of Trent Renzor and Atticus Ross in The social network, or the girl with the Dragon Tatoo.
I dedicated, focused, highly organized and above all deeply passionate about film and film music. It is my life’s ambition to score and be a part of a truly exceptional film, and to grow my career as a film composer.
