About Marcus

Marcus DeSean Jackson is an African-American professional actor from Detroit, Michigan.
Marcus DeSean is represented by The Avenue Agency, located in Music City; Nashville, Tennessee.

Marcus was discovered as an actor in 2005 at Cass Technical High School where he played prominent roles in the theatrical productions of Harry Kleiner's "Carmen Jones" and John Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men" under the direction of actor/director Ron Otulakowski.

Marcus is a theatre major at Tennessee State University.

During his tenure at TSU, he starred in Lorraine Hansberry's "A Raisin in the Sun", playing the eminent role of Walter Lee Younger. He also starred in Lynn Nottage's "Ruined" directed by Dr. Lawrence James. The story follows a group of women in the African countries of the Congo, fighting for survival against the oppression of men, violence, and government control. This production went on to win Region IV of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in 2011.

Upon becoming a professional actor, he made his debut in television and film. He has appeared in ten episodes as a background actor for season 2 of ABC's Emmy Nominated hit-series "Nashville", and appeared in various Indie Films throughout the Southern Region (Including work for LifeWay).

Marcus has started his own film production company (Elite 89 Entertainment) and is currently working on his first film, entitled "The System"

Recnetly, Marcus DeSean will starred in Episode 219 of TV ONE's hit series Fatal Attraction and Episode 401 of Snapped: Killer Couples on the Oxygen Network!
