About Dallas

Dallas Burgess is a writer, director and producer from Savannah, GA. Born in Abilene, TX, he moved with his family to Florence, AL. After a year at the University of North Alabama, and a stint at Auburn University, with a focus on music, Dallas joined to Army shortly after the events of 9/11 opting to join the infantry. After a first deployment to Afghanistan in '03-'04 with the 501st ABN, and a second to Afghanistan in '09-'10 with the 121st INF, he spent 5 as a Private Security Contractor in Iraq.

During his time as a contractor, Dallas moved to Austin, TX and began pursing film. In between deployments to Iraq, he integrated himself into the film community gaining what experience he could. in 2016, he resigned from contracting to fully pursue a career in film. Soon after, he joined co-writer, Ian Neligh and the two wrote four feature screenplays, one of which, "Hyde", went into production in 2018 making this his directorial debut.

He resides in Savannah, GA where he is has several projects in development.
