Vittorio Gazzera

Born in Pinerolo (TO) on August 22, 1983.
He graduated from the Art College of Cuneo and began his artistic career as a cartoonist, also working as a graphic designer and illustrator for many companies, publishers and cultural associations.

In 2011, he realized for the first time the desire to get behind the camera. He founded the VERTICAL GREEN PRODUCTIONS (monogram VG comes from the initials of his name) and, in the same year, he wrote and directed his first short film, REWIND, a noir movie made ​​with few economic resources that is broadcasted by Sky as part of a television review on emerging filmmakers.

In 2013 he shoots L'UOMO DAL FIORE IN BOCCA, his first feature film, which is the film adaptation of the single act of the same name by Luigi Pirandello. Again, as for REWIND, the recipe is the same: very little money, spent from his own pocket, but many ideas. And the clear vision of wich visual path to take.
The film (it will be released in 2015) is a psychedelic reinterpretation not only of the original play by Pirandello, but of the whole poetry of the Sicilian playwriter, with a vision mainly based on the dreamlike, the non-linear narration and the multiplicity of interpretations of the plot.

In the same year he wrote and directed RETOUR, a short about the importance of the river as a symbol of individual memory, in a world that encourages us to pursue personal success without remembering who we are. The project was aimed at the participation at the "RiverEyes" competition in Turin.

2014 is the year of HAPPY FROM PAESANA, a video clip involving all citizens of Paesana (CN) aiming to replicate the experience of the successful music video "HAPPY" by Pharrell Williams.
The entire operation (more than 140 people involved for two months of work) was carried out without a budget and with a non-profit intent, simply as a gift to the community.

2014 is also the year of BUNKER: THE WEB-SERIES, the first experiment with a serial by Vertical Green productions.
Four months of work (from pre- to post-production) for 12 episodes which are available online on YouTube since November 14, 2014.
The entire series was produced with no budget and is released under a Creative Commons license.
