Clyde David Jones graduated from Malabar High School in 1972 in Mansfield, Ohio.[2] The school was named after Author Louis Bromfield's home Malabar Farm which was near Mansfield.[3]. Clyde later studied Business Management at the North Central College in Mansfield.[4]. At North Central College, Clyde took several communications classes which strongly inspired and influenced him to start writing. After meeting his advanced communications professor who he studied under, Clyde developed a greater passion for writing stories that addressed the social ills of society.

After working more than twenty years at a glass factory and serving as a Baptist Church pastor for five years in the Mansfield area, Clyde moved his wife Janice and son Nicholas to Chicago, Illinois during the summer of 1999. Clyde and his family was received well in Chicago and immediately made many good friends in their new city. Not content with the regular nine to five workday, Clyde sought to make a contribution to society that would somehow enrich the lives of others.

Clyde David Jones' fulfillment for self-actualization led to his writing of several books. His first published book was "The Revelations of My Mother," (published by Create-Space ISBN: 13 9781466271043)[5], which was an inspirational story about his wife Janice and the women that rescued and raised her in the midst of a great controversy surrounding Janice's secret birth. In this novel, Author Clyde David Jones stressed the belief "that family was not based or determined solely by biological birth, but that families were formed by love, caring, and sharing."[6] Clyde's second book "Behind the Gate" (published by Create-Space ISBN: 13 9781466284241)[5], was a mystery thriller that reminded citizens of what could happen when people become too complacent and trusting, blindly allowing others with questionable motives and goals to lead without any constructive debate. The author displays a strong sense of caring for the average member of society in all his writings.

July of 2012, Author Clyde David Jones released a third book titled "The Unlikely Bigamist- The Riley Francis Scott Story," (published by Create-Space ISBN: 13 9781478126560)[7], which was highly rated by the reading public and declared by many to be one of the best books of the summer of 2012.
