I write for film, television and theatre. I'm known for a "dramedy" style, with dialogue that's witty without being pretentious.
At 18, I became the first Canadian winner of the U.S.-based Scholastic Writing Awards (Dramatic Script Category.) Fred Silverman sat next to me at the awards luncheon. In the years since, I've also won several awards for one-act plays written for regional theatre. My best known is the one-woman play "Letters In The Attic", also known as "Sincerely, Sam".
