Matt Wells is a musician who interviews musicians and an actor who interviews actors.
His path began writing songs and fronting the notorious Newfoundland hardcore/metal band Bucket Truck releasing 4 albums, 10 self-produced music videos, and travelling the world sharing the stage with bands like Slayer, Our Lady Peace, D.O.A, and Green Day. This journey directly led to him embarking on a Gemini nominated career as a music journalist which has brought him face to face with thousands of artists from Lou Reed & John Lydon to Mariah Carey and Coldplay. Matt continues to make music; co-fronting the 8 piece folk/roots group Lazybones who have released two albums and performed with Levon Helm, Great Big Sea and Tom Cochrane.
As an actor he has appeared in the critically acclaimed web-series "Prison Dancer; The Musical!", on TV screens in the CW/CBS reboot of “Beauty & the Beast” alongside Kristin Kreuk, on the stage as Rick in the Canadian debut of “Frances & Marybeth" (Factory Theatre Toronto), and as the twisted Detective Mike Adams in the feature film “Scars” (recently nominated for Best Actor @ The San Antonio Horrific Film Fest)
Matt just might be the only music journalist/actor/writer/musician/TV host/dad who has interviewed Slayer then jumped on stage to open for them, recorded a song with Huey Lewis, and performed a Led Zeppelin song onstage with Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony of Van Halen.
