SYNOPSIS:

Angel is new to the city and to her job. She and Gwen are researchers at Industrial Products Management. Angel is a serious worker. For extra money, she also works out of town as a waitress. Very responsible, and protective, Angel lives with her brother, Frankie, who was recently released from prison. He pals around with ex-con Eduardo who has plans to make a big haul in a robbery and presses Frankie to assist. Frankie and Eduardo pull the job but nearly kill the victim in the process. Barbara has set her sights on breaking out of being a spot news TV reporter. The latest pro-life protests at the family clinic may provide the in-depth story she is seeking. There are break-ins around the city. A hooded burglar steals several items from a prominent home. Barbara does an interview with the owner and sees photos of the stolen items. Nick has embarrassed his family many times over with his sexual exploits. The family fortune and fame is tied to the church but his family wants to avoid any notoriety. Nick in reality is Fr. Dominic, but only assumes his vocation when it suits him. His ego drives his every move and desire. Even though he is a priest, as Nick, he uses sex as a game and moves on when he gets bored. He has arranged to use a quiet out of town motel as a location to take his conquests. The motel is next to the truck-stop where Angel works part-time. THE STORY Gwen convinces Angel that she needs to lighten up from her devotion to work. At a local bar, company salesman, Gordy makes a play for Angel. She leaves with him. Gwen worries that she may have pushed Angel too far. Nick visits the truck-stop late one night. He charms Angel and pursues her as his next sexual interest. Over the next several weeks Gwen become concerned that Angel has gotten in over her head. Nick is seducing other women while keeping involved with Angel. She sees some evidence, but still can't resist him. Angel fights with Frankie about Eduardo. As a peace offering, Frankie gives her a fancy angel shaped pin. She accepts it and wears it on her coat. Fr. Dominic is told by his superior to attend the pro-life protests as a calming influence. He gets interviewed on TV at the clinic by Barbara. Angel sees the broadcast and goes to confront him. Barbara is there, recognizes the angel pin on her coat as stolen and follows her. Fr. Dominic/Nick tries to charm Angel. She lets him know she is pregnant by him and he insists on an abortion. The conversation is overheard by Barbara. Betting that a philandering priest would be key element of a her story, Barbara uses a police contact to get information about Fr. Dominic, Angel and Frankie. Barbara then confronts Angel about the stolen pin and pressures her to tell about Nick on camera. The police identify Frankie's involvement in the assault and robbery. Angel is desperate with anxiety about the mess she is in with Nick, about Frankie being sought by the police, and feeling sick from the pregnancy. As Barbara's pro-life video program is coming together, her boss kills the story because of political pressure from Nick's family and the church. Gwen, Angel and Frankie convince Barbara to help them get the right story to the police about the robbery. Eduardo is captured and convicted. Frankie is acquitted of the assault charges. Fr. Dominic/Nick is sent away in shame. Barbara uses a special connection to have her broadcast reinstated and is recognized as an investigative reporter. Frankie and Gwen unite. Angel has the baby and gets her life back on track.
