About Stanley

Stanley was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began his career as a copywriter in JW Thompson Argentina when he was only 18 years old.

When he reached 23 he was already General Creative Director, and his advertising agency experience was developed in agencies as the mentioned JW Thompson, Lintas,Lautrec Saatchi & Saatchi, Schussheim/Braga Menendez and Leo Burnett.

He studied filmmaking in the famous New York University and finished his studies in advertising in the University of El Salvador,in Buenos Aires.

When he reached 25, he moved to Bogotá, Colombia, as the General Creative Director of Leo Burnett advertising. There he produced and directed his first commercial spot. This commercial for Chiclet’s Adams, won a finalist diploma in The Clio Awards y was granted a permanent place in the Hall of Fame of Advertising in Colombia.

Due to the great international interest obtained by this spot, Stanley was invited to direct in Argentina, where his carrer as Film director blossomed and where the development of his success began.

In 1993 he moves to Santiago de Chile, Chile, and opens his own production company, Stanley Films & Friends, from where he continues his international projection. During his carrer Stanley’s work as a director and producer has been awarded in the most prestigious festivals. New York, Fiap, Clio, Cannes, London, Achap.

His company STANLEYFILMS.NET has been named one of the five best Latinoamerican production companies 1994-2002.

Stanley won the MTV Music Video Awards, for his first Music Video , and has been finalist three more times since then.

His first feature film “Monkeys with Blade” (, opened successfully in Chile in 2000, and has been invited to several international Film Festivals.

In June 2001, P&C magazine from Miami made a survey where Stanley was voted as the second Best Latinoamerican Director of the year.

Stanley has directed over 2000 commercials through his career.
