When the freespirited young countess Apolline has to marry the much older Duke d´Eclair she flees dressed as a musketeer to the court of Versailles, where she impresses not only the court ladies and king Louis 14th, but falls in love with her musketeer buddy Pascal, when an intrigue concerning the seal ring of King Louis 14th at the court during a bal turns them apart and she has to move back to Gers to marry the duke. Can she win back Pascal ?

SYNOPSIS:

Apolline de Georgette is a wild child that hunts in the woods wild board and gets into conflict with the owner of the woods of Gers, the duke D´Eclair. So her father has to agree to an unwanted marriage between the much elder duke an the free spirited countess. Apolline meets some musketeers on the road and decides to flee dressed as a musketeer with them to the court of Versailles. She can impress the court and king Louis 14th with her courage and even D´Artagnan is convinced that she fights like a real musketeer.

All believe that she is a man and call her Apoll. So when the king aranges a bal and wants her to apear on stage dressed as a woman she is alarmed that her costume will unviel her real identity. She can win the heart of Pascal her buddy musketeer who saw her already at her engagement bal in Gers and fell in love with the lady Apolline. When she is dressed as a woman in Versailles again he recognize her as the real lady Apolline and is disturbed by her masquerade. But she can convince him of her good intentions and her wish to be the best musketeer of the king, besides her feelings for Pascal.

The love between Apolline and Pascal is seen by a court lady and cardinal Mazarin forces Apolline to return to Gers to marry the duke d´Eclair. But the duke plans a revolution and during the wedding ceremony she can unviell his dark plans and fights with the musketeers and Pascal at her side together against the troup of Mazarin. She escapes with Pascal and they return a stolen seal ring to the king of France. King Louis is impressed and allows the marriage between Pascal and Apolline who at last find their love in each others arms.
